“The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville Station has 1% Merlot and 1% Cabernet Franc in the blend. Deep garnet-purple colored, it leaps with vibrant cassis, stewed plums, and black raspberry scents, leading to suggestions of pencil shavings and fragrant soil. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is tightly wound and energetic, with a firm grainy texture and oodles of freshness, finishing with a skip in its step.”

“Almost entirely Cabernet Sauvignon (98%, with 1% each Cabernet Franc and Merlot), the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville Station matured 20 months in 60% new French oak (the balance was in second-use barrels). Scents of cedar, vanilla, cherries and dusty earth mark the nose, while the palate is medium to full-bodied, supple and charming, with a long, silky finish and touches of anise. Already approachable, it should drink well for upwards of a decade.”
