“Organic and Biodynamic vineyards add to the optimum reinforcement of this spectacular 20- month French-oak aged Cabernet Sauvignon. Chewy, grippy tannins and a foundation of graphite meld with notes of licorice, black olive, and blackberry. This massive red surges with energy and power, maintaining its luxurious finish with tobacco and black cherries.”

“This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the Keller Yountville Vineyard on State Lane in the Yountville AVA and the Alsace Vineyard further south around Napa. Grapes are hand-harvested at night, hand-sorted, and separated into lots, then fermented individually in stainless steel tanks and a French oak upright tank with 40% whole cluster and an average of three days cold soaking with up to 22 days on skins. Aged 20 months in 60% new French oak. Opaque ruby colour. Blackberry and black cherry fruit, sage, thyme, rosemary, and dark chocolate. Full-bodied with a core of salted crushed mineral stones and muscular tannins that build through the long finish. Carl Stanton owns Westwood, and Philippe Melka and Maayan Koschitzky handle winemaking.”

“The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Legend (which includes 3% Cabernet Franc) is seriously good, with lots of ripe black and blue fruits as well as some floral and graphite notes, with nicely integrated background oak. It's medium to full-bodied, has a layered, elegant mouthfeel, a good sense of freshness, and fine-grained tannins. It needs a few years, but it’s beautiful and well worth your time and money.”
