“The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Perseid is silky, polished and beautiful from the very first taste. Sweet red berries, crushed flowers, spices and mint are all beautifully layered in this utterly impeccable, gracious wine. Sweet floral notes add lift and a measure of finesse on the finish. The 2009 Perseid is just as striking today as it was last year. I loved it. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2025. First planted by vineyard guru Mike Wolf in 1999, Meteor has emerged as one of the top sites in Coombsville, not just for these wines, but also for the handful of other wineries who source fruit here.
