“Aromas of spiced plums, black cherries, licorice, vanilla and walnut. Some raw mushroom, too. Full-bodied. Firm and textured with a deep core of fruit underneath plush and fine grained tannins. Lingering, chalky finish. Try after 2024.”

“The 2019 Villa Romefort Les Sables Noirs is slightly more expressive and open compared to the 2020 yet has similar red fruits, loamy earth, spice, and dried flower-like aromas and flavors. It's balanced, medium-bodied, silky, and just a gorgeous drink. Enjoy bottles over the coming decade.”
