While consultant winemaker Philippe Melka has worked with grapes from Starscape for several years, in-house winemaker Matt Sands is becoming more adept with Pinot Noir (having made remarkable Cabernet Sauvignon wines). The 2022 vintage is brighter and more fruit-driven than the 2021, offering crunchy black cherry, spiced plums, brambly raspberry, and rich cedar spices, with a weighty, creamy mid-palate and a cola-spiced finish.
