“Organically and biodynamically farmed with no additions, about as natural as it gets. Partners Patrick Bouju and Justine Loiseau make the wine. 100% Beaujolais from Moulin-a-Vent, where 65-year-old vines on pink granite provide most of the blend balanced with grapes from Brouilly on deep clay limestone-rich soils. 100% whole cluster fermented, aged in amphora and used oak. No fining and no filtering. It has a slight cloudiness with vivid ruby color and a slight cloudiness to be expected as it is not fined or filtered. It's really aromatic, calling to mind a sour beer or a mead with rich earthy notes, bright, black raspberry liqueur fruit character, and super tart, brisk acidity. It's a sound wine.”
