“Ripe and satisfying in its sensorial profile, it shows notes of red plums, wild strawberries, wet geraniums, gardenias and elderberry. Medium-full body, biting tannins of notable tension and a finish that extends from the center of the palate onwards. Better from 2027.”
“Very smoky wine here, with cola, almost peaty tones, black cherries and raspberries. The sweetness of the fruit is balanced by austere tannins with a sticky finish. Medium body with refreshing acidity, though warming at the end. Try from 2025.”
“Boasting a dark and youthful ruby red color, the 2020 Brunello Di Montalcino is inviting with ripe aromas of preserved strawberries, sage, toasted cedar, and fresh earth. Medium to full-bodied, it retains focused tension through the palate, with a compact feel, coiled, angular tannins, and ripe, mouthwatering acidity. It has a good deal of youthful grip and tension and is a very successful vintage for the estate. It will benefit from another year in bottle to come together, then can be enjoyed over the following 8-10 years.”
