“The 2021 Pinot Noir Riverline opens with a flower shop bouquet, as wilted violets and rose petals give way to cedar spice box and dried strawberries. This splashes across the palate with soft, nearly fleshy textures and ripe red berry fruits, taking on a more angular sensation on the mid-palate as cooling acidity combines with a sensation of liquid stone. It's savory and incredibly long, leaving grippy tannins to grumble beneath an air of inner florals and hints of spice. The combination of primary fruit and structure provides a beautiful inner harmony. The Riverline vineyard is located in the Chehalem Mountains AVA with high elevations (around 800 feet) and shallow volcanic soils.”
