Just as there are sweet spots in wine, there are sweet spots in pricing. Increasingly The Prisoner is producing red wines that are between “good” and “outstanding” at very reasonable prices. This blend is very fruity, perhaps even fruit-forward, but is has beautiful flavors of cherry and blackberry with a nice smoothness and dusty tannins in the finish – a guilty pleasure?

Picky point @Jimmy, but didn't the refresh button on this tab used to match the others?

@jimmy - it seems like Last Bottle and First Bottle share the same global comments instead of scoped to each provider/tab. I'm on the First Bottle tab but I can see comments from MisterClean tied to the Roberto Voerzio Nebbiolo Langhe 2023 which is a Last Bottle offering.

AboutBevan Cellars Proprietary Blend Ontogeny Napa Valley 2023

Hey Jimmy, let me start by saying that if this is too much, please LMK and I'll back off, NO problem. This is really interesting (at least I think so). FB changed the flash-sale wine sometime in the last hour or so to the '21 Domaine de Bellene VV, but this page is still linking to the 23 Ontogeny, whose price has risen from the $100 flash-sale price to $125 (which is correctly reflected here). For whatever reason this page links to https://firstbottlewines.com/products/bevan-cellars-proprietary-blend-ontogeny-napa-valley-2023?referral_code=OTk1MjYwMzQzOTQwMQ rather than firstbottlewines.com which would show the DdB. Cheers, -j

So right now, the First Bottle tab updates every hour - if it doesn't match what you're seeing on firstbottle.com, just hit the "Refresh latest wine" button on winebuyerapp and it should manually update. This should solve issues w/ the link too (it takes you to the specific wine page you're browsing). Let me know if that's still confusing.

I'm pretty sure I knew that when I posted this. My point was that you were pointing to the specific Ontogeny page, not the FB landing page. But I looked just now and I get that you go a step further and "View the Offer >". Either I forgot and refreshed the browser page up or whatever you do to follow that link was stuck on the previous wine. Assuming it's the former, apologies for the wasted time.
