“This is the standout wine from an impressive line-up of white wines made in Stanwood, Washington, from the grapes of Franconia, Germany. In the cool Puget Sound AVA, Winemaker Christine Stoecklein shows a deft hand with these Germanic whites. The Kerner has a savoury core with wild herbs, tarragon, lemon gelato, and Morrocan mint leaves. The palate is crisp and taut, with great energy. Ripe citrus and early-season pomme fruits show a deft balance between the mineral tone and bright acids.”
