“This is a solid, polished wine showcasing the dark-toned fruit and vibrancy of the 2021 vintage, filled with tobacco, spices, and classic blackberry fruit. Medium- to full-bodied, it reveals layers of blue fruit compote, dark cherry, and leather, supported by fine-grained tannins. The wine finishes long with notes of dark salted cacao, cherry blossoms, and a hint of red liquorice, offering both depth and refinement. Consultant winemaker Benoit Touqette, of Realm Cellars, Teeter-Totter, and Fait-Main fame, made the 2021 and will serve as winemaker for Nellcôte moving forward.”
