“The 2020 Monticello Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon is a pleasure-packed, layered red with ample weight and structure, balanced by a remarkable lightness. Rich, savoury, and classically fashioned, leading with blackberry fruit aromas tinged with cedar spices, graphite, and wild herbs. Medium to full-bodied offering decadent inky black fruit and many of the same aromatic, savoury notes on the palate, along with black olive and tobacco leaf. Satiny fine-grained tannins are supported by a backbone of firm acidity, and the finish is long, refreshing and satisfying. 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Merlot, and 6% Cabernet Franc. Aged 18 months in French Oak barrels.”
