“The 2020 Brunello di Montalcino from Cupano is a stunning wine, aged for 38 months in a combination of barriques and 500-litre barrels, primarily using neutral wood. Exceptionally approachable and balanced in its youth, it boasts high natural acidity that supports silky tannins, ripe fruit, and admirable restraint. Aromas of white truffle, tobacco, and cedar intertwine with subtle hints of pine and mint. Elegance and refinement define this wine, making it a truly remarkable Brunello.”

“The 2020 Brunello di Montalcino is a vibrant spice box on the nose, mixing cloves and cinnamon sticks with cherry sauce and cedar shavings. This displays textures of pure silk elevated by cool-toned acidity as notes of red plum and sour cherry mix over a saturation of minerality and fine tannins that form toward the close. It finishes with impressive length and structure, yet with a fantastic balance and poise, leaving hints of sage and blood orange to linger on.”

“Pouring a deep magenta color, the 2020 Brunello Di Montalcino is lush and ripe with aromas of polished leather, black cherry liqueur, toasted cedar, balsamic herbs, and rosemary. Full-bodied, it fills and saturates the palate with rich tannins, a broad and rounded mouthfeel, and oak spices that last on the finish. A brooding wine, it will need time to develop and lean into its more tertiary and complex profile, but it's a deeply layered wine with a lot of polish. Drink 2027-2040.”
