“This blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot is sourced from sites in Oakville, Carneros, and Howell Mountain, crafted by Peter Heitz and Scott Palazzo. Aged for 20 months in 65% new French oak, it is somewhat more restrained than the 2019 release, framed by heftier tannins at this youthful stage. Kirsch and cassis notes are complemented by wet slate and underbrush on the finish.”
