Taste profile
“This was a much richer vintage in the Vouvray appellation, with a number of vignerons taking advantage of the conditions to produce some sweeter moelleux cuvées. The residual sugar is in keeping with this, at 65 g/l. It feels rich and smoky, with toast and praline piled high with caramelised fruit. The palate follows the lead of the nose, showing a fresh, open and expressive style. It carries some very fine fruit, salted pear and caramelised apple on praline and toast, all wrapped up in a generous texture, with wonderfully fresh acidity for balance. Composed, vivacious, charming and elegant. And delicious.”
