“Le Cecche is a relatively young (for Barolo) winery founded in 2002 by Belgian Jan de Bruyne. The south-facing vineyards within Bricco San Pietro are at rather high altitudes of between 350 and 400 metres: quite an important detail in the warm 2017 vintage. The wine is aged in French tonneaux as well as barriques, of which 30% are new, for at least 24 months. The wine is fresh and characterised by a lemon leaf, almost lemongrass, aroma with smoky woodland and rhubarb in depth. The supple palate is extremely well balanced with refined ripe tannins, intense strawberry fruit, and lifted natural acidity. Just a bit warming on the finish, it's otherwise very good and not difficult to drink.”

Body: Expect a medium-to-full-bodied and savory profile with red and dark berry fruit fruit character shaped by Barolo.
Aromas & flavors: Aromas and flavors tend toward cherry, plum, spice, earth, and subtle oak tones, with the final profile updated as producer notes, critic reviews, and merchant details become available.
Structure & finish: The structure should read as balanced, dry, and built around moderate tannin, making the wine useful for shoppers comparing Last Bottle pricing against retail benchmarks.
Pairings: Pair with roasted meats, pasta, mushrooms, hard cheeses, or grilled vegetables; richer catalog details will refine these suggestions when the Last Bottle product page is scraped.
