“Darkly floral and earthy in the best possible way, the 2019 Grenache Sur Echalas Vineyard keeps me coming back to the glass to take in its spicy bouquet of dried strawberries, bay leaf, graphite, and dusty rose. This is pure elegance on the palate, silky and supple, with ripe red fruits offset by saline-minerals and spiced tangerine. The 2019 lingers impossibly long with sweet herbs, white pepper and slightly chewy tannins, yet it keeps the mouth watering for more. What a darling, and with the balance to age for a decade or more.”
