“The Umberto I 2022 Montello Rosso Superiore is a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, vinified separately and aged in 225-litre French oak barriques for up to 30 months. Crafted by Graziana Grassini – the esteemed winemaker behind Sassicaia – this bold, plush, juicy and inviting flagship red is the freshest and most electric to date. Crunchy red and black fruits are layered with finely chopped Mediterranean herbs, graphite and structured, robust tannins that carry a velvety sheen, finishing with excellent acid tension.”
