“The 2017 Figli Luigi Oddero Barolo Specola is pale ruby in color. It has a sweetly integrated, very fine nose with spice and herbs and delicate cherry notes. The rounded, more concentrated mid-palate has a lovely woven, silky texture and notes of delicate strawberry and cream, with a lovely strawberry note on the finish. The tannins are firm, upright and chalky. This vineyard is in La Morra commune within the MGA Rive di Santa Maria which has a clay-limestone marl known as Sant Agata marl. Wait 1 year and keep up to 20 at least.”
