“The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Quintessence bursts from the glass with a dark blend of smoky black currants, mocha and cocoa. It’s silky in feel with cooling minerality and tart wild berry fruits carried across a core of brisk acidity. This leaves wild herbal tones to mingle with sour citrus and tart cherry while finishing with silky tannins, framing the style quite nicely. This is a big wine, but I love the balance here. That said, it will require a number of years to come fully into focus.”
