“The 2022 Planetes de Nin Clàssic, now from vines planted 25 years ago, was produced with a blend of 45% Garnacha, 44% Cariñena and 11% Garnacha Peluda, with a lot more Cariñena than the previous year, because the Garnacha yielded less fruit in 2022. It has a dark fruit profile and an earthy twist, with an iron-like twist from the very hard, rocky soils, but the wine opened up in the glass to a more floral nose, more refined. It has a medium-bodied palate with very fine tannins (finer as the vines age?) and balancing acidity. The wine has benefitted from the better conditions in the new winery. 12,500 bottles and 2,000 magnums were produced. It was bottled in April 2024 after aging in three well-seasoned oak vats.”
“Consisting of 45% Garnacha, 44% Carinyena, and 11% Garnacha Peluda (also known as Hairy Grenache), the Garnacha grapes are destemmed and fermented together, while the Carinyena is fermented whole-bunch on its own. Grown on slopes and terraces, there’s an undeniable slatey minerality and feral, ferrous quality to the wine, a bloody sanguine character, with earthy anise and sassafras. Light in color, the structure and acidity are the stars, drumbeating a persistent freshness that boosts the medium-bodied weight. There’s bay laurel too, black pepper, and red pepper, so much to ponder and enjoy. Drinking well three years in, I’d say it has another 10-15 years of joy to give.”
“The 2022 Planetes Clàssic from Porrera, Priorat, is a blend of 60% Grenache and Garnatxa Peluda with 40% Carignan. Aromas recall morello, pomegranate, Worcestershire sauce, citrus and field herbs. The palate is compact and talc-like, delivering ripe fruit in the background.”

Comments across First Bottle deals and wines.
@jimmy - it seems like Last Bottle and First Bottle share the same global comments instead of scoped to each provider/tab. I'm on the First Bottle tab but I can see comments from MisterClean tied to the Roberto Voerzio Nebbiolo Langhe 2023 which is a Last Bottle offering.
Hey Jimmy, let me start by saying that if this is too much, please LMK and I'll back off, NO problem. This is really interesting (at least I think so). FB changed the flash-sale wine sometime in the last hour or so to the '21 Domaine de Bellene VV, but this page is still linking to the 23 Ontogeny, whose price has risen from the $100 flash-sale price to $125 (which is correctly reflected here). For whatever reason this page links to https://firstbottlewines.com/products/bevan-cellars-proprietary-blend-ontogeny-napa-valley-2023?referral_code=OTk1MjYwMzQzOTQwMQ rather than firstbottlewines.com which would show the DdB. Cheers, -j
So right now, the First Bottle tab updates every hour - if it doesn't match what you're seeing on firstbottle.com, just hit the "Refresh latest wine" button on winebuyerapp and it should manually update. This should solve issues w/ the link too (it takes you to the specific wine page you're browsing). Let me know if that's still confusing.
Replying to Jimmy from Wine Buyer App
I'm pretty sure I knew that when I posted this. My point was that you were pointing to the specific Ontogeny page, not the FB landing page. But I looked just now and I get that you go a step further and "View the Offer >". Either I forgot and refreshed the browser page up or whatever you do to follow that link was stuck on the previous wine. Assuming it's the former, apologies for the wasted time.
