“Readers will find plenty to love in this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Diamond Mountain, crafted by Kevin Morrissey, aged in 70% new tight-grained French oak. It is a complete red, offering Napa lavishness in its rich, dark-fruited profile. It is balanced by a fantastic undercurrent of salty crushed stone minerality, with hints of dried rose petals and lilac on the long finish. Full-bodied, it showcases extravagant oak spices, cigar box notes, dark chocolate, and sturdy, fine-grained tannins. There's much to admire here, including that it shows nothing of the intense 2022 Napa heat spike. It is balanced at 14.5% alcohol, with a touch of Diamond Mountain deep forest garrigue on the finish.”
