“This Eden Rift Vineyards Pinot Noir from the Cienega Valley originates from a mountainside property in the Gabilan Range, situated approximately 32 kilometres from Monterey Bay. Crafted from Calera Clone Pinot Noir, the grapes undergo whole-cluster fermentation, are barrel-fermented with native yeasts, and experience 16 months of élevage in 22% new French oak. This is a bold, structured Pinot Noir, offering excellent density and fruit weight balanced by firm, grippy tannins. The wine is layered with flavours of clove, coriander, dark cherry fruits, and blood orange, accented by nuances of rose petals, loamy earth, walnut husk, and notes of espresso and mocha. A complex and compelling expression of site and clone.”
