“Based on viognier, this is crisp, faintly saline and refreshing, with plenty of high-tone lift above its oily texture. It had Alex Mares of Eleven Madison Park shaking off the winter blues: “If I had a fish restaurant with a patio, I’d pour the shit out of this by the glass.”
“Mostly Viognier (55%) but with other permitted white varieties, the 2022 Côtes Du Rhône Blanc has a medium-bodied, vibrant, pure style to go with lovely peach and tangerine-like aromas and flavors. Drink this outstanding, classy white over the coming 2-3 years. I never cease to be amazed at the quality of the Côtes du Rhône white from this team, especially given the quantities produced.”
