Savory aromas of charred wood and carob are very dark and intense on the nose of this savory showcase. The woodspide layers weave through blackberry and elderberry on the palate, where firm tannic framing ensures a long life. Drink now-2039.

Decanter94 pts

This blend of 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petite Verdot, and 1% Malbec is sourced from five vineyards near the towns of Saratoga and Los Gatos, from sites perched above the Santa Clara Valley in the Santa Cruz Mountains. It’s a tremendously powerful, full-bodied wine with blackberry and black cherry fruit, currant spice, and fragrant loamy earth layered with rich underbrush character and pine forest accents. Soaring Earl Grey tea tannins frame this dark, brooding wine, lifted by a rich thread of juicy, grippy acidity.

AboutRoberto Voerzio Nebbiolo Langhe 2023

This isn't the standard Disanfrancesco, but a special LastBottle exclusive labeling.

Dave Santos

I bought it anyway, but any word on these exclusive bottlings from Roberto? I've never had his non exclusive offerings, so I wouldn't have that point of reference anyway, but I assume if he's putting his name on it, it's of good quality.

I had this exact bottle a few weeks ago and I enjoyed it as a young nebbiolo. Intense on the nose (cherry jolly rancher and rose petal), surprisingly approachable for a 2023 nebbiolo. For the price I think it's a great buy.
