Taste profile
“The 2019 Ombrone from Cupano is a blend of 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. Incredibly savoury, it opens with black liquorice and woodsy nuances, building into a meaty intensity on the medium-bodied palate. Notes of dried rose petal and hen-of-the-woods mushrooms emerge, leading to a finish of drying tannins and deep, loamy earth character. This is a superb wine to pair with burgers, brisket or richly sauced, well-salted cuts of beef.”
