“Conn Creek has started an AVA series focusing on different sectors of Napa Valley and has five cuv?©es ranging from Diamond Mountain in the northwest to Atlas Peak in the south. All of these are characterized by a brown brand label. The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon AVA Series Probst Vineyard on Atlas Peak has an opaque, saturated purple color, plenty of minerality, dense Cabernet flavors of cassis and blackberry, tight rather formidable tannins, a big-boned, muscular body, and loads of extract and richness. This is a long-term proposition and impressive. Forget it for 3-4 years and drink it over the following 20.”
