Black cherries, licorice, espresso, dark chocolate, and flowers open the wine in the nose. On the palate, the wine has depth of flavor, richness, elegance, and vibrancy. There is a chalky edge to all the ripe, fresh fruits in the finish. 2022 was the last vintage for the owner, Denis Barraud who passed away after the wine was made. He will be missed. His 2022 will be a tribute to him. Drink from 2026-2042. 94-96 Pts.

The 2019 Lynsolence is terrific and shows the freshness and purity of the vintage. Black cherries, lead pencil, baking spices, and dried flowers all define the nose, and it's already complex and nuanced. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it has plenty of classic Saint-Emilion chalky minerality, terrific balance, and just a real sense of class and purity. It needs 4-5 years of bottle age (or a healthy decant). It's going to have two decades of longevity.

Perfumed nose of spiced cherries, prunes, black olives, nutmeg, truffles and potpourri. It’s full-bodied with firm, chewy tannins. Firm, rich, tannic and compact. Better from 2026.

The 2022 Lynsolence is creamy and beautifully layered in the glass. Inky dark red fruit, mocha, new leather, blood orange and a kiss of French oak all flesh out in this ample, resonant Saint-Émilion. Plush, silky contours accent the wine's sensual, enveloping personality. This is terrific juice.

Toasty, polished and stylish, with ample boysenberry and black cherry compote flavors that sparkle with anise and violet notes. The fruit picks up steam through the finish. Solid. Best from 2026 through 2036. 800 cases made, 100 cases imported.

Falstaff90 pts

Deep dark ruby, opaque core, purple reflections, subtle brightening on the rim. Subtle hints of dried plums and figs, dark nougat, herbal spice. Medium complexity, some ʺburntʺ herbs at the core, slight astringency on the finish, red berry notes, tannin on the finish, lacking balance at this stage.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate90 pts

The 2022 Lynsolence reveals a toasty, oaky bouquet of spices, licorice and dark berries. Medium to full-bodied, rich and concentrated, it's ample and robust with a youthful, assertive tannic frame, concluding with a spicy finish. While it demonstrates depth and complexity, the prominent oakiness may not appeal to every palate, and it is too oaky for my taste. Entirely crafted from Merlot.

Very warm and dry from the start, with cooler nights than 2020. Merlot excelled, Cabernet Franc also relished the season. Very aromatic; Pomerol hedonistic, St.-Emilion well-defined
