“The 2023 Côtes Du Roussillon Villages Les Aspres Château De Corneilla Cavalcade, a 50% Syrah, 25% Grenache Noir and 25% Mourvèdre blend, shows well-integrated oak notes, ripe black fruit, a hint of mocha, slightly candied fruit, wild strawberry, peony, and some graphite notes. Fresh on the palate, with velvety tannins and a tight finish, the style of the wine is fairly restrained and still very young. It has a wonderful potential to age and should best be served decanted. This is Les Aspres at its best. Drink 2025-2040.”
