“The NV Brut Nature Meunier sur Sable, as the name suggests, is a pure Pinot Meunier based on the 2022 vintage, with 17 months on lees. Brunchy, slightly tart red apple flesh is vivid and appetizing on the nose. The frothy, lively and energetic mousse amplifies both freshness and sprightly youthfulness. Part of me wishes this had more time on lees to become itself, as the fruit underneath is pure and juicy. A very lively Champagne, slightly rustic but wonderfully unpretentious. Zero dosage. Disgorged: August 2024.”
