“A more herbal and spry iteration of the singular Enz Vineyard, the 2023 Mourvèdre exchanges the overt density of the 2024 iteration for a silky, high-toned profile that sacrifices none of the vineyard's palpably mineral nature. Red fruits and resinous herb aromas are followed by a racy palate and an assertively stony finish. While I suspect the 2024 will be longer lived, this is a lovely window into one of the Central Coast's most unique terroirs, and it should be quite versatile at the table.”
