“It takes guts to call your own wine an icon, or ícono, but this cuvee of Malbec, 13% Cabernet Franc, 10% Tannat, and 7% Cabernet Sauvignon deserves the epithet. Garrigue and mountain herb aromas of lavender, marjoram and oregano segue into a palate of cassis, blackberry and summer berries, layered tannins, refreshing acidity and perfumed, understated 50% new wood. Has the structure to age. 2026-2035.”
